Tuna Salad
6 to 7 OZ white tuna, drained
1 rib celery, finely chopped
1 hard-cooked egg, peeled and chopped
3 TB mayonnaise
1 TB finely chopped dill pickle
salt and pepper, to taste
1 to 2 TB grated or finely chopped onion
Combine all ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add a little grated or finely chopped onion. Spread on lettuce-lined toasted bread or fill rolls and garnish with sliced tomato.
Serves 3 to 4.
Tuna Pot pie
4.5oz tuna
1 can cream of soup
2 C frozen mixed veggies
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
1 frozen pie crust
Preheat oven to 325. Combine tuna, soup, and veggies in a bowl. Pour into frozen pie crust. Bake for 25 minutes, remove from oven and add cheese. Bake another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted
for tuna (out of the can)
1 can of cannellini beans (rinsed %26amp; drained)
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
2-6 cloves garlic (depending on your taste)
juice from 1/2 - 1 lemon (depending on your taste)
salt %26amp; pepper (to taste)
Blend until smooth in a food processor or blender.
You can also add fresh flat-leaf (italian) parsley, if you like.
Use this mixture as a spread on sandwiches or with raw veggies. Or on crackers.What are some recipes that a kid can make for a surprise dinnerfor family??? and quick?
If your chicken is good (?!) grill in a nonstick skillet w/ some butter and olive oil. Season w/ S%26amp;P. When done, cut into slices and return to pan. Now add the jar of alfredo sauce, maybe a couple dashes of garlic powder, some black pepper.
Boil some pasta, serve chicken and sauce over pasta.
relax! cook some vegetables and put them over the penne.
