Do you know of any eggless cake recipes?

I'm vegan, which means I don't eat dairy products or eggs or anything like that. And I feel deprived not being able to eat cake. So do you know of any recipes that don't involve using egg? Preferably without the use of egg replacer also. Thanks.Do you know of any eggless cake recipes?
Check out vegweb.com - they have a lot of good dessert recipes!

If you want some cookbooks, try The Joy of Vegan Baking and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World.

Have fun! I just had a fabulous chocolate coconut cookie at lunch (vegan!) so I understand the need for sweets. :o)Do you know of any eggless cake recipes?
Aside from banana, you could also use 1/4 cup plain applesauce, or 1/4 cup silken tofu mixed in a blender until smooth. Also, either arrowroot powder or ground flax seeds mixed with hot water until about the consistency of a blended egg (1/4 cup final mixture equals one egg).

Also, you could just google ';vegan (whatever kind of cake you want) cake recipe'; or just pick up any decent vegan cookbook %26amp; you'll find plenty of recipes, I'm sure. Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World is excellent if you don't already have it. :) Also, there are many common chocolate cake recipes that don't call for eggs (or milk) at all, but use vinegar %26amp; baking soda instead. It's often called depression cake or war cake (because it originated during the depression when people couldn't afford milk %26amp; eggs and these things were rationed during wars), and there are other types of depression cake too. The more common one to go by that name is a kind of spice cake.

* Milk 鈥?1 cup (room temperature)

* Curds (Yogurt) 鈥?1 cup

* Seedless Dates 鈥?1 cup, finely chopped and mixed with 1 tablespoon flour

Pour into a well greased cake pan and shake gently. Top that with chopped walnuts and apricots. Bake in a heated oven at 190 degrees C for about 40 minutes.

When a nice smell starts coming in, insert a sharp knife into the cake; if the knife comes out in one smooth motion without sticking, this means your cake is ready.

1 tiny vegetarian almond cake counts about 35kcal.

If you are not serving young children, I'll recommend coffee flavoured almond cup cake. Add 1 teaspoon of coffee essence instead of vanilla together with other ingredients A and combine well. I made it before and it tasted superb! Even my girl (aged 8) loved it!

Tips: If using 7'; baking tin, set oven to 170掳C and bake on centre rack for 45 min to 1 hour.

* No pre-roasting required for almonds used to top on the cake mixture.

* Piping of cake mixture - if you do not have a proper cake pipe, use a food plastic bag and cut a hole at the tip.

* Golden syrup package in a small can, can be easily found at supermarkets or baking supplies stores.
this is one of my favorite recipes i usually split it in half and fill it with strawberry jam and it's delicious but you could use frosting or whatever filling you want.

Sorry, but you have to replace the eggs, they are a binder. I've never heard of one without using an alternative. I typically use cornstarch %26amp; water mixture. About a spoon full of cornstarch %26amp; twice that of water for each egg required. In some baked goods it's nice to use apple sauce or a banana. I heard someone has used avocado but I haven't tried that. Cornstarch works so well in my cookies %26amp; cupcakes I've stuck with it. You can search vegan cake recipes online or check at vegetarian times. No matter what you need to replace eggs to hold the cake together. It's way easy to make a vegan cake so you are not deprived! Vegan With A Vengeance is a great cook book that has coconut vegan cupcakes I love. You can surely make a regular cake with it as well. The frosting is great %26amp; you can add some coco powder to make it chocolate. Google vegan cake recipes because there are tons online for free. Test out different methods. Have fun %26amp; eat a piece for me! Yum!
I'm a big fan of the Ener-G Egg Replacer, as it really does work. You could also try 1 tbsp ground flax seeds and 2 tbsp water per egg.

Actually, any vegan cookbook will likely tell you how to replace egg in your baking. And it really is a good idea to replace the eggs with something, as they provide lift and binding to your baked goods.

well bananas are a great egg replacer 1/2 of 1 banana = one egg

just mash it up and add to the recipe your using
There are plenty of egg substitutes

when I want to treat myself I buy free range eggs but they are so expensive that I rarely do
